Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains how ChatAssist24 processes personal data on this website and in its support channels, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
Controller: Rubén Teruel Córcoles · NIF 35597256H
Address: C/ Buen Suceso 13, 02313 Peñascosa, Albacete, Spain
Contact and data-protection requests: contact@chatassist24.com
1. Categories of data
Depending on the interaction, data may include: name, email, contact details and messages voluntarily sent; the information needed to answer support questions; website security information such as IP address, access time, browser and technical logs; consent preferences and identifiers related to cookies; and, if a purchase system is later activated, licence, subscription and transaction identifiers received from its provider.
Do not send health, payment-card or other sensitive information through the public demo or chat. The demo uses example content, not real transactions. If a form requests personal data, its own first-layer privacy notice must also explain the relevant processing.
2. Purposes and lawful bases
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Respond to enquiries, provide requested information and manage support | Pre-contractual steps, contract where applicable, or legitimate interest in responding to non-contractual enquiries |
| Protect the website, prevent abuse and maintain technical logs | Legitimate interests in security and, where applicable, legal obligations |
| Manage any purchases, licences, invoicing and renewals after the commercial system is enabled | Contract and applicable legal obligations |
| Send optional newsletters and marketing messages | Consent or a legally permitted existing-customer relationship, with an easy opt-out |
| Non-essential analytics, advertising or external media cookies | Consent where required; details in the Cookie Policy |
| Respond to legally valid requests and defend claims | Legal obligations or legitimate interest, as applicable |
3. Chat widget and demonstration
The public demo is intended for testing and uses simulated products, orders and statistics. Interactions may be processed technically to display the demo; do not enter real personal data. The ChatAssist24 website widget may also process messages provided by visitors. Data should only be retained where necessary for the configured service and in line with a disclosed retention period. A separate business website using the ChatAssist24 plugin is responsible for providing its own privacy information to its customers and establishing the required data-processing arrangements.
4. Recipients and service providers
Data may be accessed by service providers strictly needed for website hosting, security, email delivery, maintenance and support, subject to applicable agreements and safeguards. Non-essential analytics, marketing and media providers will only receive data when their services are actually configured and lawful consent has been obtained where required.
Sales are not yet enabled through Freemius. If the payment and licensing integration is enabled, this section and the checkout notices will be updated to identify the parties, their roles, data categories and applicable privacy policies before processing a purchase.
5. International transfers
Some providers may operate outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, the controller must rely on a valid GDPR transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, and provide the information required by law. Specific recipients and safeguards must be checked when services are activated.
6. Retention
Enquiries without a subsequent contractual relationship are generally retained only for the time needed to address them and any applicable limitation period. Contractual and support records, if any, are kept during the relationship and applicable legal periods. Accounting and tax records are retained for legally prescribed periods. Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn or another lawful basis ceases. Technical and security logs are retained for a proportionate period; cookie lifetimes are shown in the Cookie Policy and the live cookie inventory. The controller periodically reviews and deletes unnecessary data.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability where applicable and withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing. Requests can be sent to contact@chatassist24.com. We may request information strictly needed to confirm identity. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Security and minors
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to protect personal data. This site and product are intended for professional and adult users, not for collecting personal data from children. Any report of inappropriate data collection can be sent to the contact email above.
9. Cookies and updates
Visit our Cookie Policy to manage cookie preferences. We will update this policy when services, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated where required.
